Oktyabr Denis
Born on February 19, 1977 in Novoaltaysk. Works in genres of portrait, still life, landscape, thematic composition, and nude. Has a significant and original brushwork, experiments with the form, color, and material while being a bright representative of up-to-date contemporary art.
In 2004, received the V. Vetrogonsky Award in "easel painting" category at the 2nd International Biennial of Graphic Art BIN-2004 (under The White InterNights 2004) in St. Petersburg.
The works are presented in The State Art Museum of Altai Krai, Biysk State Museum of Fine Arts, and Tomsk Regional Museum of Art; as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad. Since 1995 has participated in more than 50 exhibitions. Since 2001 — a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
